THE CHURCH OF GOD

And the church of God bleeds  Severed by knives in form of hands  Sinking low is the house of God  See the men of God watching  Sister I thought your body was the temple of God  I thought our hearts were made for him alone  Brother why let Delilah come in?  Why bruise the church of God?  And the church of God crashed  Right in the midst of skirts and trousers  Hearts have turned to stones The word of God is blasphemed  The crash of the church  The death of you and I  Our heart is the church  Rebuild the broken bricks.                             CATALEA BONEZ

A DIFFERENCE THAT COUNTS

A DIFFERENCE THAT COUNTS I saw them fight and fail I saw their dreams crushed I saw ignorance dancing I knew it would happen I know that smell anywhere Smell of failure The one that bites deep down I knew it would happen Mum had a dream in the young days Dad did too Mum died a meat seller Dad died doing nothing Should I blame God? Should I blame them? What about our nation? Should I blame her too? No! I blame knowledge and wisdom For it has gone far away from our home Leaving Dad and mum brainless idiots to the society I blame logic reasoning for leaving them behind I will run, faster than my ancestors I will taste wisdom and knowledge I will reach the sky for tomorrow I will dance the mbaenu dance on the sacred hill Tell them I'm on my way I'm coming to get wisdom To insert a difference To change destiny                     Catalea Bonez

Africa

Restore the greenness of Africa  The secret farm where mother farms Mbaenu forest where father hunts Restore the sacred spring where my childhood pops....  Why have our men turned to beasts?  Their eyes red and their hearts stones  They have sold green Africa And have collected chaff in form of gold Yesterday I walked down the hill and I saw the traces of our ancestors  I yearn for their touch to retrace my steps  Bring back the greenness of Africa
