Voices

Fear is the beast of yesterday It has crippled hearts and stopped dreams The unbreakable weakling Bold but empty Fear is that shrill voice from within That golden voice that seems real Voices that make the cocoon comfortable The voice that never fights Fear has shut the mouths of legends Destroyed the visions we should live for It took the Breastplate of leadership A king with little might! Where did you leave your dreams? What about you, your visions? Stand up let's take a walk to greatness First, let's find our own voices Did you speak today? Where is fear? We do not speak when we're uncomfortable We speak especially when we're uncomfortable                          CATALEA BONEZ

Raining glory

Yesterday it rained gloriously and I was seated in bed, next to the window. I starred at the grey sky and the leaves being relieved of dirt, the air become health and mother earth accepted all of it whole heatedly. Often times we're too sad, too broken, too tired to see the beauty that dwells right there in the middle of our pain. Yes it's raining now but the rain has washed us by making us stronger, cleaned our eyes for us to see better and mother earth, which is our heart has learned to endure. My brother who was a cerebia Paltic patient taught me a lot in nine years. My little was and is.

How you weren't but now you are, A little springing joy from the walls of nature A rose sprouting from nowhere in to our hearts My morning glory and the carrier of my future You weren't here but you were always here The motivation to my daily misery Breaking my wall and configuring me But my heart yearns to see you soon The nights seemed longer than my life Lying all day and hoping to grace your face Bruised and swollen all for your safety The little beast that was but wasn't Out of soft groans and misery You thrust forth into the world And my darkness broke into light My little beast that was and is.                           CATALEA BONEZ

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY

See me rising in a floral skirt Holding high the prints of womanhood Illuminating the room with confidence I am a woman and that's my strength With no semblance outwardly I share a heart that's deep with courage A beauty that dwells within And decency that crowns my head A woman with glory A gateway to generations to come The detector to the likeness of our future I am a woman and that's my strength Break me and I'll come out stronger Suppress me and I'll explode into glory And if you appreciate the heart that beams There's no telling what extent I can go for you                             CATALEA BONEZ
