World of women.
So any one heard of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)?
I'm sure a lot of young ladies are living with such syndrome undiagnosed, well it's nothing to worry about.
What is PCOS.?
It is a condition that affects a woman's hormonal levels. Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant. They usually have beards, hair growth in unusual place like that of the male. PCOS affects a woman’s ovaries, the reproductive organs that produce estrogen and progesterone — hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle. The ovaries also produce a small amount of male hormones called androgens. Extra male hormones disrupt the menstrual cycle, so women with PCOS get fewer periods than usual, some don't get to see their period at all.

What can be done to stop PCOS?
Taking estrogen and progestin daily can restore a normal hormone balance, regulate ovulation, relieve symptoms like excess hair growth, and protect against endometrial cancer. These hormones come in a pill, patch, or vaginal ring. Drugs used to cure diabetes can also be used to correct this disorder.
Hair removal medicines can be used to reduce the growth of hair. Surgery can be an option to improve fertility if other treatments don’t work. Ovarian drilling is a procedure that makes tiny holes in the ovary with a laser or thin heated needle to restore normal ovulation.
As you can see PCOS is a condition that can be well taken care of, don't worry, you'll see those toddlers you've always dreamt of!

Orchestration

You sat amongst your brothers And together, you ate colanut with finely brewed tea The smile on your faces were even But you, I know you. Your heart reeks of spite The type that comes from a reicarnated soul You stare innocently but your eyes speak volumes I see the envy and pride Ripening like pure palm wine, ready to be tapped You hugged your brothers with a snare when no one looked I saw you. You broke the sacred oath your father bestowed I saw you pass a sword through your brother's heart In a foreign land, he bled and died without dignity He was buried in shallow sand like a mad dog Like an outcast who was sent to the evil forest I saw you. In your chamber you gloried Marvelling at your orchestration While you put up a facade of tears amongst brothers You are the thorn underneath flowers I saw you. History has never held a stone up The sun looked at you with fury and disgust Your brother died in a strange land unknown Your corpse will be paraded shamefully in your hometown. C...

If conscience was a person....

First of all, you assured me that it wasn't your new friends, that they had no power to influence who you've become over the years. I listened and was quiet for months. I let you explore because I thought I was rather too harsh. You grew in the midst of low thinking human beings and your value started to drop. I watched you become so conscious of the most useless things, even the attention of men that could devour you and leave your soul empty. Again I pricked your heart from my chambers but I realized that your eyes were closed and upon them a Vail. Your ears were busy listening to jazz and hip hop. Your hands were full with bags upon bags from the shopping mall in town.  On the day you inhaled cocaine, persuaded by a man old enough to be your grand father, I shouted from the bowels of your heart. But you didn't want to look stupid in front of him, you didn't want him to think you weren't strong enough. You coughed, chocked and smiled in pain and he watched you ...

Live and let live

1st November 2019 A warm morning at Kurudu. I had a feeling my morning wouldn't be so swirl when I couldn't reach my fellow IT colleague. PS my name is Favour Kosisochukwu Onyejekwe. I recently got accepted at AIT as an Intern. I bet no one would have been more happier than my father! This means he'd stop burning fuel to bring me here only to sit in his car and stare at trees or the ever blue sky. Back to today! I didn't realize Nyanya had more people than the total number of Nigeria as a whole, my goodness! Today I am determined to meet new people. Well, I'm on my way to AYA, in a keke and Mann! this ride has issues. I do hope we get there on time. The traffic in this part of town is something else. I'm still determined to have a great time! I believe that we were never born to face life alone, or else, Adam would have lived without Eve. I realized something priceless today! That people aren't as scary as they seem. I'm building a habit of puttin...
