Live and let live


1st November 2019

A warm morning at Kurudu. I had a feeling my morning wouldn't be so swirl when I couldn't reach my fellow IT colleague. PS my name is Favour Kosisochukwu Onyejekwe. I recently got accepted at AIT as an Intern. I bet no one would have been more happier than my father! This means he'd stop burning fuel to bring me here only to sit in his car and stare at trees or the ever blue sky.

Back to today! I didn't realize Nyanya had more people than the total number of Nigeria as a whole, my goodness! Today I am determined to meet new people. Well, I'm on my way to AYA, in a keke and Mann! this ride has issues. I do hope we get there on time. The traffic in this part of town is something else. I'm still determined to have a great time!

I believe that we were never born to face life alone, or else, Adam would have lived without Eve. I realized something priceless today! That people aren't as scary as they seem. I'm building a habit of putting a healthy smile on my face and a sharp hello! And boom! A conversation has begun.
Most people believe that northerners are made up of rash, harmful and hasty people. I met a very nice northerner today. I died at the thought that I didn't get his name. Forgive me! Well let's go with this; Mr "Northerner" paid for my transportation at AYA. I was stunned at his passionate smile and his zeal to help when I needed it. A "Northerner" told me to be determined to get whatever I was dreaming of, to smile at everyone, to be humble and strong. He may not be the richest or most influential of all people but he gave me a gift. A gift of love. To love and not be weary, to seek beyond the cover for the heart holds more. I have been blessed to know that beautiful souls still exist, even in places we least expect them. I do hope you've been blessed today.

First of all, you assured me that it wasn't your new friends, that they had no power to influence who you've become over the years. I listened and was quiet for months. I let you explore because I thought I was rather too harsh. You grew in the midst of low thinking human beings and your value started to drop.
